Schedule 2010 - available now from the Village Shop £1
Have a look at some of last year's winners to get some ideas. Competition was fierce and standards were high. Well done all!
Vegetables, Fruit and Flower Section
Get your seeds planted for all types of beans, peas, leeks, cabbage and carrots or whatever you like to grow - there will be a class for them.

The same goes for flowers - annuals, dahlias, pansies, geraniums and fuschias to name a few - but it doesn't really matter there'll be a class for you to enter.
Flower Arranging - sizes stated in Schedule
It's the World Cup and the Year of the Tiger - get thinking how to arrange that!
and for our novice section -
a basket arrangement for a birthday....

Best Ladies Exhibit in Show
Beverages
This year as well as the usual red and white wines, try making a liqueur or a cocktail appropriate for Wimbledon and for the non alcoholic - it's Ginger Beer - my favourite!
Bygones from your Childhood!
Have a look in the attic for some memories!
Produce
Try your hand at fashionable Walnut Bread (recipe in the Schedule), or parkin, mince pies and oat cakes. For the more artistic among us, you could make a gingerbread family, a sweet item for a child's party or marzipan fruits. As for the men and boys - it's Fat Rascals! And a new class for under 16s - meringues and cup cakes.
Limerick
There were some very impressive limericks last year about the lack of a pub. This year we all have memories of 'When the Snow came'. Get creating.
Crafts
As ever crafts are excellent and will include the usual variety of classes, with the additions of a designed book cover or a posh pinny, now we're all home baking.
Children's Entries - ages between 4 and 15
Growing gardeners will want to make a cress head or an animal made from vegetables and fruit. Creative types can make a crown for a prince/ess, a decorated shoe box or garden on a tin lid or even design a wrapper for a new chocolate bar. See the schedule for ages and holiday activities.
Farmers
A highly competitive section with samples of hay, barley and wheat keenly contested. Show us your initiative with a make do and mend item - you surely have loads around!
Family Entry - MDF cutout
This year we're going for a snail! Yeuurgh! I'm glad I'm not the judge.
